Il terremoto ha provocato movimenti orizzontali, non ha provocato danni. L'effetto iniziale era simile al passaggio nella strada vicina di grossi camion, ma nell'arco dei circa 5-6 secondi ha aumentato fino a rendere visibili le oscillazioni di finestre e rumori come scricchiolii. Alcuni soprammobili leggeri si sono spostati.
