I was stunned, thought an airplane crashed nearby, a loud bang, some rolling sounds. I sat on the sofa and felt dizzy, like my room was moving from right to left and back, it was so intense, it lasted less than 10 seconds but felt long. Some minor furniture moved a little inside the room. Afterwards people on the streets, discussing what it was we heard and felt, quite unusual for this country to witness an earthquake. This will be remembered for a long time!

Ik was een film aan het kijken en ik dacht eerst dat er een vrachtwagen hard door de straat reed, maar toen ik verder niets hoorde en het trillen heftiger werd drukte ik het geluid uit, want het was een zacht brullend geluid en hoorde alles kraken en klinkeren. Het trillen en brullen duurde voor mij idee iets van 6a 8 seconden... intentieteit werd sterker tot het ineens stopte. Liep toen naar beneden. Beneden zaten mijn ouders en zij hadden het idee dat er twee keer geduwd werd. Ik was onder de indruk, dit is de tweede die ik nu mee maak. Maar leuk is anders.

2 kinderen liggen nu in het ziekenhuis de lamp zat niet goed vast. (naargezicht om een TL bak te zien in een persoon)

Alle bewoners van de straat stonden buiten. 4 waren lichtgewond 3 zwaar (orgrish was er niks bij).

Politie probeerde met man en macht door de stromende mensenmassa te komen zonder succes. Verschrikkelijk! dat dit gebeurt in Nederland!

We live in a wooden home.
I was o the 2nd floor in my small sound studio.

1. We live approx. 50 meters from a railway. Firstly during a few seconds I heard a rumbling noise which I (my wife also, as she told me)associated with a train approaching. 2. Then I noticed the equuipment in my studio moving back and forth while I felt the house shaking.
3. After approx 1 minute I went outside to see if something happened on the railroad track, although I already realized that I did not hear the sound of an accident and that it was more likely an earthquake

There were about two seconds between the arrival of the P-wave and the arrival of the S-waves. The S-waves didn't seem to be lasting more than 2-3 seconds. The direction from which the waves came was ENE, which concurs with the data about the quake being near Groesbeek

About a half hour of more, there was a 'light flashing' from my right to left of the window. My curtains were drawn thus, I could only preceive the light's movement. Do not know if this effect is in anyway related to the Earth Quake? May as well be some at the down floor outside shining a flash-light? Looking around after the quake?

Heb vaker lichte trillingen gevoeld in het buitenland ten gevolge van mijnbouw maar aangezien in Nederland daar geen sprake van kan zijn was deze toch wel het meeste bijzondere en tot nu toe ook de zwaarste al stelt 4,6 op de schaal van Richter eigenlijk niks voor in vergelijking met bevingen zoals in Japan of Indonesie. Zelfs geen tsunami van de Maas. Geen paniek, rustig slapen en morgen gezond weer op.

Het was toch wel zwaarder da nde zwaarste vrachtwagen die ik heb gemerkt, en ik werd ook licht duizelig na het gebeuren.

We live in an very old house, completely made of wood. We experienced a kind of shock that produced a short vibration on the wooden floor and the wooden roof (as if someone jumped on the floor). The house was totally in silence. We were the only inhabitants at that moment. Because it was such a strange motion with no sound at all, I noticed the time (21:03 MESZ).

not far from the railways and I can always feel when lying down when a train passes by, however, this time there was no train, no sound of a train and the trembling was really short.

I felt something and I thought it was an earthquake (I come from Italy so I know how it feels, plus somehow I am very sensitive to earthquakes). Then I looked at the hanging lamp and I could see a very slight oscillation, but I couldn't decide if it was a suggestion. Later on I read that an earthquake really had happened. I was in a room with several kids and no one of them seemed to have noticed anything.

Ich bin erst jetzt am 12.02.2013 auf die Idee gekommen hier mal nachzusehen, was das für ein Ereignis war, denn ich vermutete damals eine Explosion, wunderte mich aber das keine Sirenen ausgelöst wurden. Kann mich sehr deutlich errinern.
