I was thinking how to describe the best the earthquakes like this one - well it's almost exactly the same feeling as if the house was in many boats on moderate waves - all things moved independently from each other, just like you want to cross from a boat to another one - you are always afraid that stepping on another one will push away the one you are standing on. And yes, the quake came from the sea, since its waves moved me as if they are coming from that direction. It lasted for up to 8-10 seconds.
