i was on my bicycle and suddenly i felt some force was making my vehicle sway.i jumped down and started running away from electric lines when i saw people rushing out to the street.it lasted for more or less 30-35 seconds at least

I had a foreshadow a few moments before the real tremor in the form of a slight shake in my hips. It was 15 secs of absolute terror. It must have been around 7 on the Richter scale. Our building has 3 floors and I was on the 1st. I ran down the stairs the moment I felt the tremor. I felt the sound of the tremor just like a thunder clap. Seriously! Meanwhile, my mom was busy turning the gas cylinder off. Then I went back and called her down, but by then the earthquake had stopped. Had it continued for about 10 more seconds the building would've surely gone down. Today we got lucky!
