WE feel frigthen because it shake many times it takes 10sec..

What was felt was a brief swaying back and forth.  I was a guest in the Midtown Hotel (close to the Chinese-Filipino friendship arch) at the time, on the top floor.  We were hurriedly advised to vacate our rooms by the hotel management.

I have experienced quakes in the U.S. before so this one really didn't phase me much, although my wife, who is from Negros Occ. was quite shaken, having gone through a bad one several months earlier in Sagay City, Negros.

Felt like the building was swaying, more of a swaying rolling motion. Lasted a good 10 seconds but then stopped abruptly. Have been through all the Christchurch earthquakes so little reaction for me but still a desire to know that loved ones were okay.
