Witness location : Iraklion (Greece) (237 km E from epicenter)

It was more like a violent jerk than a shake.  Short in duration and forceful. It felt as precise as if somebody kicked my sofa.

My location is the Papagou area of Athens at the foot of Mt. Hymettus. 
Just noticed the quake. It seemed the tremor reached me in two waves of decreasing magnitude about 1 or 2 seconds apart. The first wave lasted 2 to 4 seconds and the second, of lesser intensity, about 2 seconds.
