My home is in a six story apartment building..it swayed for approximately 8-10 seconds. After checking I found no cracking or any structural damage. Some crockery fell and the chandeliers rattled strongly. Power and telephone service  was not affected it seems.

Today I experienced this event at my mother's house; a few nights ago, around 2 am, I experienced an earthquake while lying in bed--This time, the quake was much longer and there was more shaking; last time, it was far shorter, but the sensation was of an enormous wave--rolling, rather than shaking.
