This earthquake was the combination of impact, rolling, and side to side.. it cause so much damage and so may people need help.
Because the earthquake magnitude has been determined to be 6.4,even though other readings and observatories found much higher magnitudes (6.7)the area stricken is not being provided with the help from government agencies. I would like to know and see the true recorded data of this quake, that has not been manually manipulated.

Υπάρχουν πάρα πολλά σπίτια στην Κάτω Αχαϊα τα οποία μετά τον σεισμό είναι πολύ καταπονημένα τα οποία οι μηχανικοί που έκανα αυτοψίες θεωρούν ότι πρέπει να κατεδαφιστούν διότι είναι μη κατοικίσημα και σε επόμενο μεγάλο σεισμό δεν θα αντέξουν και θα θρηνήσουμε πολύ περισσότερα θύματα.

In this region, we are used on earthquakes, but I've never felt it that strong like this time. The most special thing about it was, that there was completely no noise before! Nothing. That's unusual.

the shake was smooth at the begining but violent as proceeded. everyone remembers that it felt like being on a wave, and you couldn't move at all. but the final shake was the most violent and caused things to fall or cabinets to open towards a specidic direction. in my area all the houses in the same line had cabinets opened, the cabinets that faced west- the same applies to buildings collapsing and objects falling!!!

Γιά τις επιπτώσεις όχι γιατί πιστεύω ότι εσείς θα γνωρίζετε πολλύ περισσότερα από μένα. Μπορώ όμως να πώ ότι ήμουν σήγουρη από την προηγούμενη ημέρα ότι θα έχουμε σεισμό κάποιου μεγέθους και μάλιστα όχι μικρού μεγέθους γιατί η ατμόσφαιρα ήταν με ήλιο αλλά μουντή με μία κιτρινοπή χρειά και αυτή την ιδιαιτερότητα την εχω παρατηρήση πριν από πάρα  πολλούς σεισμούς με την διαφορά ότι την ημέρα εκείνη η ατμόσφαιρα μύριζε έντονα θειάφι.Όσο γιά τα σκυλιά δεν σταμάτησαν να ουρλιάζουν όπως πρίν κάθε σεισμό.

While the earthquake had a severe effect it was really astonishing that no small or larger objects (glass, books, furniture...) did fall. For the magnitude the earthquake felt to have it was surprising the fact that there were no damages at the building in the surrounding region.

We thought that the buildings would collapse. This earthquake was considered to be around 7-7.5 by local people prior to the formal announcement of tha state of being only 6.5 (or 6.7 according to another lab). We also believed at that time, that the location was next to our town (Trihonida lake) and not at another prefecture (Achaia)!

Η Πρέβεζα στην οποία ζούμε "αισθάνεται" ιδιαίτερα τις σεισμικές δονήσεις που λαμβάνουν χώρα σε συγκεκριμένες περιοχές. Αναφέρω συμβολικά: Σεισμός Λευκάδος (6,4R), Κυθήρων (6,9), όλων των σεισμών Πελοπονήσσου και Ιονίων Νήσων.

Επίσης οι σεισμοί με επίκεντρο τα παράλια ή το Νομό Πρέβεζας γενικότερα γίνονται ιδιαίτερα αισθητοί και κατά το παρελθόν μετρήσαμε και επιπτώσεις(καταρρεύσεις και ζημιές σε κτίρια, με δονήσεις 5,1-5,6R).

Άραγε η ΠΡΕΒΕΖΑ, βρίσκεται στο μάτι του Εγκέλαδου;

Μια μαρτυρία. Εδώ και λίγο καιρό σε σεισμό που έγινε με επίκεντρο τη θαλάσσια περιοχή της Λευκάδος, σε συνθήκες απόλυτης ησυχίας (περίπου 06:00 ώρα), της δόνησης, προηγήθηκε υπόκωφη βουή(σαν να τριβόταν μια πλάκα πάνω σε άλλη), πράγμα που με έκανε να προετοιμαστώ για τη δόνηση(το κατάλαβα έγκαιρα)

it was a swaying shaking.. and quiet but I figured it out pretty quickly while it was still swaying.  My neighbor didn't believe me but I told her to look at her chandeliers... hmmm they all were swaying.

Long duration of the quake felt, about 1.5 minute. The primary waves were of very low density, secondary arrived some seconds later, and start a very smooth and slow movement, the g forces involved where for sure very low.

There was a feeling that the quake felt for 2-3 more minutes, not so false, as it start and stop very gradually.

My cat was too nervous and noisy some hours (5-6h) before the earthquake event.  Not really sure how the cat behaved during the event.  I felt two earthquakes: the first was longer and stronger than the second, and the second came a few seconds (maybe half a minute) after the first.  My office chair which I was using at that time is very sensitive to movements so that's why I felt it, while other people generally didn't, except one neighbour who I know also uses an office chair which moves easily.  The movement was like a calm pendulum from east to west (a lamp also moved a little in the same direction).  No damages witnessed.  Me and a neighbour went outside and stayed out for 2-3 hours, just to be safe, but generally people in the city are calm and most people probably learnt about the earthquake from the media.  Local media report 6.5R and 1 dead person and destroyed buildings near the epicentre (far away from my city).  My cat isn't nervous now after the earthquake.

I felt this earthquake because of the oscillation of a wooden door in my kitchen -the level of the open door has direction NE-SW. I heard the door knockin' against the wall for about 20 sec (aprox.). All the doors and windows were closed.

Friends in high rise apts felt the tremor.  None of my friends who live in single story homes felt the tremor.  It lasted long enough for me to think about leaving my apartment.
