In the period 10 - 13 September 2003, a RELEMR (Reducing Earthquake
Losses in Eastern Mediterranean Region) meeting will be organised
jointly in Cyprus by UNESCO, USGS, ORFEUS,  EMSC and GSD (Cyprus). This
meeting is focused on seismological data exchange and seismic hazard.

There will be participants from all Northern African and Middle east
countries. EMSC and ORFEUS believe that this meeting could be a good
opportunity for European seismologists to meet their colleagues from the
RELEMR project (a project in which EMSC has been involved for 10 years).

In order to help in the organisation of this meeting, we would greatly
appreciate if you could let Torild and I know whether you would like to
join this meeting. More details would be then provided to interested
persons.

We now plan a special session on the Algerian earthquake.
