Working in the garage. Saw truck and Jeep start to sway back and forth on their springs. Checked my homemade seismometer (a spirit level suspended on a loop of wire... very sensitive!) and yes, it was an earthquake. There was an immediate aftershock. I went looking for my wife, who had been awakened from a sound sleep. Small aftershocks all afternoon and evening. I lived in San Francisco for 45 years, so it was like old times.+6
