My house is on silty soil next to the Oswego River. It shook and rattled harder than any other earthquake I've felt here. There was no real side-side motion, just bouncing and shuddering.

Felt like huge wind gust hit the house, windows rattled. Dog leaped up and started barking.

The house shook

Large rumble, house shook less than minute. Structural damage to one wall (crack from previous quake was moved more) light items fell from secured shelving and railings.West of Ottawa, Ontario in Kanata.

Felt something shake the house but thought it was the wind. But then again it wasn’t windy

Shuck the house

At 14:23 EST I heard my desk shaking and the pipes in my house shaking. Seconds later I got a bunch of texts asking if I felt an earthquake.

At 1411 I believe I felt an earthquake lasting a few seconds. I've felt an earthquake here years ago and it felt similar. There was no train whistle or rumble, which would shake the ground. Trains shake the ground longer.

Felt like a plane flying overhead

My house started moving, slightly stronger than when my son goes down the stairs heavily, and my iPad, which is on an arm attached to my night table, began moving. Former Californian, so it felt familiar.
