Windows shook violently enough to wake me from a deep sleep.Most rooms in my house now have cracked paint on the ceiling, and some of the cornices lost some plaster. Couple floor tiles also cracked. No other major structural damage took place.0

Unfortunately for me I was awake when it happened, it was so scary. The serious tremor lasted +-1o seconds followed by a gentle tremor which lasted about +- 20 seconds. I could hear there is movement in the other room and I screamed "Rethabile" and my daughter quickly came to my room. She asked "Is it an earthquake Papa" I said "Yes" I asked her "Are you scared" She said "Yes" I then told her "it's going down now Ngwanaka" just to come her down because she was panicking. We were sleeping and awoke to the windows rattling our dressing table mirror shaking. The bed was vibrating. About 15 or 29 seconds of the rattling. Our chime clock stopped at 2.45 this morning. Was it a quacke or mining.0

I woke up around 2: 32 am to change my son’s diaper and immediately after that the roof, windows and my bed started shaking aggressively and I honestly thought it was a tremor however due to the intensity of the movements that’s when I knew it was an earthquake. It was the most terrifying experience 😭+1
