In Philadelphia we felt the 4.8 magnitude earthquake on 4/5/24. The best way to describe how it felt is it was like our house was next to train tracks and a train was going past the house.

House was shaking and a big noise like a huge construction truck going by. Loud rumbling. Nothing fell off shelves.

Felt like the building was being shaken by strong winds

I have experienced several earthquakes, but none had shaken like this one. The ground was bumping up and down in several short bursts like if someone was drilling the entire neighborhood. Hope everyone is safe

Was cooking a soup and felt everything shake and my soup move. I thought it was a very low flying airplane that lasted like 30-45 seconds. Very disconcerting and a little nauseous.
