I thought at first that I was having a vertigo attack, especially since my cat was as calm as usual and the birds outside were singing like usual. Nothing was shaking, but I felt it. Then I realised that it was the earthquake off the coast by Sechelt at about 1:26 PM today - that's when I felt the shaking.+1

I am right downtown Victoria BC. I felt the floor shake and there was a slight noise from things on the wall and doors. I am on second floor of a heritage building (late 1800s) near Baiston Square. That may be a factor to consider. +1
