I had just gone to bed (am a late owl) and this sound of an incredibly loud crash or thud, which felt as though it was literally in the building or under the building gave my an almighty shock. It went on banging and shaking very loudly for several seconds. As it faded, I got out of bed and came to the laptop to try and see what had happened. One thought that crossed my mind was that a very large aircraft might have crash landed very nearby. 0

was trying to get back to sleep when all of a sudden it sounds like bricks crumbling around me. kind of thought to myself 'what the' and then the shaking came. went on Facebook to all of my friends feeling it as well then confirmation that we had been in an earthquake:| scary stuff 0

Loud rumble as though a massive freight train was passing the house. Could hear things shaking downstairs and the front door popped open0
