Felt a sudden jolt and then the whole house shaking for about 10 seconds. Jumped out of my skin.0

Outside the birds were very noisey and distressed
I sat up and bed celt as if it were trembling, i now reliadr this would have been aftershocks0

First, I have experienced very many quakes, including a 7.1. This did not seem like just a quake, but something big happening which caused a quake. House shook so bad I thought it may collapse. Shock lasted only 2 seconds or so. Lights which were off came on. There was a deep rumble. My best guess is it was caused by an underground explosion, such as at one of our local closed collieries.0

Over the past few weeks at school we have been hearing loud bangs and small shakes. This may not be linked but important still. And I'm quite a heavy sleeper and this woke me up statist away and got my parents out of bed and looking around the house. 0

Rumbling sound we were asleep woke myself and husband up, buildings shook we knew straight away it was earthquake. Strange and a bit frightening. 0

Very loud, and very quick, I didn't even know what it was, I though a plain had crashed near us it was that loud, I'm surprice it didn't wake everyone up, had car alarms going of and heard a lot of dogs barking, very weird never had anything like it before! 0

Frightened the pants off of me! Was Like being woken up to Garry Glitter jumping on the bed listening to drum & bass at 3am in the morning....even the cat jumped out of the window to save it's self, poor little git forgot we live on the 12th floor! 😞0
