At about 1:43am, I was laying on my couch awake. It was very quiet in my house at the time, but suddenly it got very loud. I thought is it windy outside, is a tornado coming? And then the house started creaking and making noises and shaking. I felt as though I was laying in a moving vehicle that was driving over a couple small speed bumps. It lasted maybe 10 seconds from start to finish.0

Windows and other dishes rattled loudly that it woke me up thinking it was wind I said OMG! And looked outside, no wind, so I got scared, looked at the clock, 01:45, slipped on my slippers, grabbed my flashlight, flipped on lights and walked around the corner past my big room divider/ half wall, to my kitchen area, to see what was rattling or the cause and it stopped when I got around to check things out. So I started shaking things to see if I could mimic the sound but I couldn't. Nothing rattled like what I heard. So then I got really scared, called the cat, had her investigate the area, she had no unusual response. So I left a lamp on, turned off lights and got back in bed with my flashlight and cat at my side. I didn't think of an earthquake at the time cuz nothing around me was shaking, not myself or the bed, no one woke up, it was only the sound of the window and dishes or something from the other side of my wall. Then I started Googling and found this site, which made me feel better knowing what caused it & that I wasn't just hearing things! Lol! 0
