Standing in kitchen and was almost knocked off my feet. Have been through many quakes, this one is the hardest hitting one I have felt. Almost violent shaking, house was moving for a good 20 seconds after quake then the second one hit and rocked the house hard a second time.0

I was sitting up in bed checking my text messages and all of a sudden, the bed starts rocking from side to side. My partner woke up out of a dead sleep, assuming I was rocking the bed to wake her up. The windows shook, the pans hanging in the kitchen were clanking and swaying. 0

It was more of a swaying/jiggling motion then a steady vibration0

Lasted ~30 seconds. Very sudden. Everything shook from side to side (subduction?). Was fast asleep. Instant splitting headache. I was in an office building, 3rd floor, glass building, during the Nisqually quake, in WA State. I'm quite shaken up. I hate that sound from deep in the earth!0

Drawer pull rattling on dresser woke me just in time to feel the full effects. Bed and floor moved. Our bedroom door rattling reminded me of Regan in the Exorcist. Lasted about 5-8 seconds. Funny the drawer pull kept rattling long after we could no longer feel anything. About 2 more minutes. 0

One very significant jolt and shaking followed by more rumbling and shaking about 3 minutes later0

First we felt slight shaking, then it continued to shake but the ground felt "wavy", thinking of how a boat would be carried over water.0
