I was sitting watching TV when I heard what sounded like a large deep skidding sound like a semi suddenly breaking but very low pitched. The wall and floor vibrated hard, and I felt a vibration through the floors the sofa, and my back, like a message chair on a high setting. Glass items rattled, and my TV moved a bit. My couch, which was flush against the wall is now out a few inches. I didn't realize it was an earthquake at first and thought someone had hit my house with their car. I checked online for earthquake information when I didn't find anything outside.+1
