I was in the 1989 in SFO, the Loma Prieta, downtown on the 20th FL. in the Alcoa Bldg (built on rollers). This was far far scarier. Lived in SF two decades & never once got scared. I thought they were fun! Yeah no more. Water line under trailer broke. Stuff fell off walls, tables, fridge. I'm 58 & this was the scariest thing I've ever been thru. Went from sleeping one second to running screaming for my life the next. Shaking like a leaf, crying. I was literally whimpering. I didn't think I could whimper. And the aftershocks continue as I type this.0
