Just that there were two of them. One hit and then a few seconds later a second one hit. Also, this earthquake made the world go side to side, not up and down. I’ve lived along the Ring of Fire for most of my life, so I have a lot of experience with the various kinds of earthquakes - each one is unique. Anyway, I think the side to side swaying motion instead of a jerking up and down meant a lot less damage. JMHO. -1

We live in a travel trailer so we can feel movements fairly well. My husband and I were talking when we heard a loud rumble and then the trailer shook. It only shook for a few seconds. My parents who were up in the main house (a solid house built out of lava rock) heard the rumble but didn’t feel the shaking.+1

The baby monitor started making wierd noises and it felt like I was on a boat dock for several seconds. A box on my countertop was swaying back and forth. It felt like the earth had become liquid and wavy. The house made creaking and cracking noises.0
