I think people who live in Japan are perhaps more sensitive to these smaller tremors because of the huge earthquake we had here last year. I know a lot of people, including myself, who will be relieved after tomorrow ( the one- year anniversary) is over and done with. For months after the 2011 quake,  my cell phone (equipped with "early quake warning alarm" ) was never out of my reach. I finally turned the warning system off because  1. I wasn't getting any sleep and 2. It was making me paranoid!  It did me more good knowing how to react when an earthquake occurs, and finding out what to do if one should happen
