The tremors were felt but there were also a very distinct loud noise. It sounded like a truck traveling on a gravel road. I at first indeed thought that it was a truck passing by but realized after a few seconds that this was louder and the tremors from the windows got worse.

Me and my fellow Grade 11 Maths classmates were busy writing our Trigonometry Test Paper when the earthquake started.. We were rather startled by the occurence, but each one of us didn't say anything, thinking it was our imagination! Soon we were asking amongst each other if they're also hearing it.. It lasted for about 5-8minutes..
