A blackout started before I felt the earthquake's effect. A weird strong noise also started few instants before it.+1

We were on the 3rd floor when the earthquake struck. It was preceded by a weird, very loud & scary noise and then came the power outage and the heavy shaking started. Plaster was falling from the walls as we were running down the stairs. It felt much stronger than a 4.3 to me. I have experienced earthquakes before. 0
