It started with a low rumbling as if a lorry was passing and the house started to vibrate, it quickly became more violent. The dishes on the draining board shook vigorously and the cupboards shook on the walls. It passed quickly. We have looked at the co ordinates provided of the epicentre of the quake, they appear to be situated on the same mountain that has had frequent landslides recently. These have been very damaging to the village of Ystalyfera. 0

We were sitting on settee. The settee lifter and there was an enormous bang. our glass light fitments all shook and rattled we thought something had hit the house.all the neighbours who were at home were out in the street. Have experienced earthquakes in USA but this felt different that's why we thought it was an impact
