At first I thought it was a very big truck passing on the main road which is about 7 or 8m away from my house. Trucks passing along there will often produce a small shake or tremor but this was so much stronger - maybe 10 times - and accompanied by a roar. It did feel like a wave to me - like being side on to a wave on a boat or board in the sea. House shook in an alarming fashion but the whole thing only seemed to last a second or so - the usual length of tremor from the passing trucks.0
