Both my son and I were in two different rooms on 2nd floor of our home (right off east coast Vancouver island, technically Nanaimo , but physically border of lantzville) ... we were at opposite ends of the house but both felt the quake rumble for about 3 or 4 seconds. 
It felt like it could have been caused by heavy equipment or something similar... I could hear a shaking rumble, but nothing broken. I went to my son and asked if he felt it too ?.....we both experienced the same thing.  I was pretty certain it was an earthquake so I decided to see if it was posted online anywhere and I found this site.
